Title: Marketing Manager
Location:
  • New York, Short Hills, or Philadelphia office.
  • Remote - Occasional travel and in-office presence with primary ability to work-from-home

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes go-to-market plans for the Finance practice group that deliver results that support brand strategy and focus on practice priority areas in collaboration with practice group leaders.
  • Manages client-centric and data-driven, integrated marketing and business development campaigns that deliver results against strategic priorities.
  • Leads the implementation of leading-edge marketing tactics across several functional areas of the marketing, BD and communications team that include brand, digital and social marketing, public relations, collateral and sales enablement tools and events.
  • Understands key business issues our clients are facing, market dynamics and competitive strategies to improve the development of messaging and go-to-market strategies.
  • Writes marketing collateral and business development content, leveraging a strong knowledge of practice capabilities and the practice’s value proposition.
  • Drives an effective strategy for achieving awards and directories’ recognition that reflect the practice group’s capabilities and successes on behalf of clients.
  • Leads the onboarding and integration of key laterals and their client base.
  • Provides leadership to and manages a team of business professionals to include coaching, mentoring and professional development. Responsible for providing performance feedback on a regular basis.
  • Assists with planning practice meetings and retreats.
  • Manages the practice marketing budget to align with practice group priorities.
  • Measures and tracks results of marketing programs and reports on ROI.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 8 years' experience in marketing/business development in a professional services environment
  • Prior experience practicing law in a large law firm is a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word/Excel/Power Point
  • Must have experience and ability to plan strategically, execute tactically and have a client service focus
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner.  
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required.  
  • Foster positive work relationships.  
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.  
Education: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field is required 
  • MBA Preferred
  • Graduate degree preferred
