Business Development Manager (BDM) - Life Sciences

Our client is a cutting-edge Life Sciences solution for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. They are adding to their team and seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join their team.

Location: Remote Northeast US is preferred

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for clinical and lab services within target accounts.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to grow market share and secure high-value deals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and executive sponsors at national accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal clinical and lab practice teams to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Drive revenue growth by expanding existing client relationships and securing new accounts.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including RFXs, presentations, contract negotiations, and strategic planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth onboarding and service execution.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) to track client intelligence and business development activities.
  • Travel regionally up to 50% for client and internal meetings.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of sales/business development experience managing bio-pharma/biotech client portfolios (midsize & Fortune 500)
  • 3+ years of experience in Life Sciences or technical services sales
  • Proven success in selling clinical solutions and/or lab services (lab validation and quality assurance experience preferred)
 Strong business acumen with the ability to identify customer pain points and align solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
