Responsibilities:
- Provide employment counseling and support for cross-border and global employment work.
- Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
- Advise on reductions in force, employee terminations, and restrictive covenants.
- Counsel clients on employee mobility and other employment law issues.
- Provide advice to emerging companies on all aspects of employment law.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.
- 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international).
- Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
- International counseling experience strongly preferred.
- Strong academic background with transferable skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Good business judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to influence others.
- Effective project management, persuasive communication, and management skills.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
- Deliver timely, high-quality work products and meet deadlines.
- Foster positive relationships and comply with firm policies and practices.
- Engage in both sedentary and physical activities, including virtual meetings and working at a computer.
- Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
