Title: Contract to Perm Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Remote/Must live in one of the following states:
AZ, CA, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, PA, TX, WA

Reporting Relationship:  Reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor

Responsibilities:
  • Review disbursement and reimbursement requests for accuracy, required approvals, supporting documentation, and adherence to Firm and IRS policies
  • Prepare and perform check runs, and post transactions according to the firm's protocols for rush, next check run, diverted, foreign, and general transactions
  • Monitor and manage current, pending, and past due invoices and reimbursements to ensure timely payment
  • Process expense reports and payment inquiries
  • Audit and process invoices
  • Opportunities to work on various projects outside the regular accounting routine, providing challenges and career growth

Background Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of accounts payable experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred
  • Experience with data entry and accounting software and strong communications skills is also preferred
