Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting duties including journal entries, account reconciliations, billing, and inventory tracking.
Oversee accounts receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and support financial reporting using QuickBooks, with the potential to take on additional day-to-day leadership responsibilities over time.
Analyze monthly financial statements and prepare internal reports including KPIs.
Support project accounting and percentage-of-completion reporting for construction/service jobs.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements for accounting and operational efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with field operations, management, and external partners.
Handle business administration functions as needed, including audit support and compliance.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability in all financial documentation.
Work onsite full-time, with occasional overtime during peak periods.
Requirements:
Proven general accounting experience, preferably in construction or service trades with a very strong understanding of credits and debits.
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF statements.
Strong understanding of percentage-of-completion and project-based (job cost) accounting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Willingness to commute daily to the on-site location (must be within 45 minutes one-way).
Experience as a lead is preferred but not required.
Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Benefits:
