Responsibilities:

• Provide employment counseling to clients on cross-border and global employment matters.
• Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence.
• Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
• Counsel on reductions in force, employee terminations, and restrictive covenants.
• Advise emerging companies on all aspects of employment law, including employee mobility and workforce issues.
• Collaborate with DLA Piper’s global employment practice and work with international offices.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
• Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
• Strong academic background and transferable skills.
• International counseling experience is strongly preferred.
• Flexibility and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and legal expertise.
• Solution-oriented with excellent project management skills.
• Strong relationship-building, team-building, and leadership capabilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with business development and career commitment.

Education: 

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
