Responsibilities:
- Provide employment counseling to clients on cross-border and global employment matters.
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including conducting employment diligence.
- Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
- Counsel on reductions in force, employee terminations, and restrictive covenants.
- Advise emerging companies on all aspects of employment law, including employee mobility and workforce issues.
- Collaborate with DLA Piper’s global employment practice and work with international offices.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
- Experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
- Strong academic background and transferable skills.
- International counseling experience is strongly preferred.
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and legal expertise.
- Solution-oriented with excellent project management skills.
- Strong relationship-building, team-building, and leadership capabilities.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
