Our client provides infrastructure services, specializing in road and surface striping, traffic control, and safety installations to enhance travel safety and efficiency nationwide. Naviga has been retained to recruit an Operations Manager to join their amazing team. 

Title: Operations Manager
Location:  Tampa, FL

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations, including personnel movement, equipment allocation, and scheduling decisions
  • Act as the right hand to the General Manager, with close interaction with Project Managers
  • Provide leadership to night shift operations, including handoffs to day crews in the early morning
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients after job estimation is secured, ensuring operational excellence on projects
  • Occasionally visit project sites to monitor progress and resolve issues
  • Uphold and enforce safety protocols, addressing gaps and promoting a safety-focused culture
Requirements:
  • Experience in civil construction, preferably in transportation/roadway projects, including familiarity with DOT systems
  • Background in paving, concrete, aggregate, or earthwork; experience with traffic control and barricades is a plus
  • Proven ability to oversee 20-30 employees across multiple crews and projects
  • Experience managing night shifts and coordinating with field crews, though direct scheduling expertise is not critical
  • Strong safety mindset, aligning with the company’s top priority of safety
  • Professionalism, drive, and openness to learning the company’s environment and processes
  • Ability to recommend operational improvements, particularly in equipment maintenance and procurement
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
