Our client is a leading global business law firm looking for a collaborative, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional problem-solving skills. Naviga has been engaged to recruit a Contract Legal Administrative Assistant to join their team.

Title: Contract Legal Administrative Assistant
Location: New York, NY, on-site M-F, 9-5:30
Duration: Contract to Permanent

Responsibilities:
  • Assist various DLA department partners, as needed and assist with overflow work for these department on an as needed basis.  
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with numerous matters, including responsibilities associated with client billing, attorney travel, client interface, scheduling meetings and calls (Teams and Zoom), expense reports, and maintaining calendars .  
  • Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, and provide back-up assistance as part of a client service team, as well as covering for client service team members when they are out of the office.
Requirements:
  • Two years of administrative experience in a law firm or professional services organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to interact daily with team members, lawyers, clients, and other firm departments.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn firm-specific programs and software as required.
  • Proficient in advanced document formatting, conversions, and redlining.
  • Exhibits excellent judgment, a professional demeanor, and a strong work ethic, maintaining confidential information in a trustworthy manner.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and documentation.
  • Experience with Aderant and Intapp.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of assignments and projects.
  • Effective project management skills to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong document production skills with meticulous attention to detail and proofreading for accuracy and content.
  • Committed to staying current in technical skills and practice area knowledge by participating in online courses and attending organized meetings and training sessions.
Education: 
  • High School or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
