Our client, proudly employee-owned (ESOP), has launched a dynamic new division specializing in truck and rail handling equipment to include Class-A, along with offering comprehensive repair and maintenance services. This group has experienced rapid growth and is poised for significant expansion. Naviga has been retained to recruit a General Manager for this line.
Title: General Manager (Senior Leader)
Location: Houston or Dallas
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the organization’s strategic planning and program development, offering business insights and expertise in the truck and rail industries.
Implement Truck & Rail objectives through strategic planning, accurate forecasting, resource allocation, and effective budgeting.
Ensure operational and sales excellence by enhancing efficiency and fostering a culture of high accountability.
Meet financial goals by driving the execution of financial and operational plans and budgets.
Lead, coach, and develop high-performing leaders, fostering ongoing professional growth and development within the team.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and OEM partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and creating long-term value.
Analyze market competition, industry trends, and company strengths/weaknesses to create sales strategies that drive future growth.
Develop and document tools, training programs, and processes that ensure consistent delivery of exceptional client experiences.
Manage new and used inventory levels to meet or exceed company standards.
Embody the company’s core value of safety by promoting a Safety First culture and leading by example in everyday work practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of senior leadership or multi-unit operational leadership within Class-8 Fleet Maintenance
10+ years’ experience in a similar integrated business with P&L responsibility to include sales/marketing/rental/service/parts
Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate key objectives and next steps for achieving organizational goals to team
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and motivational skills and a track record of hiring top talent
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
Proven expertise in leadership and people development
Strong financial acumen, including capital procurement, analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis
Skilled in identifying root causes of issues and implementing effective corrective measures
Committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism in customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
