Title: IP Patent Paralegal
Location: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Boston​​​​​​​

Responsibilities:
  • Completes standard U.S. trademark and patent application filings
  • Completes individual or limited group foreign filing programs, including legalization of documents
  • Assists with supervised prosecution work on all U.S. and foreign applications
  • Handles assignments and post registration filings for U.S. registrations
  • Handles U.S. filings for foreign based clients
  • Keeps clients apprised of the status of marks and patents
  • Manages data rooms and matter files
Requirements:
  • 1 year experience as a Litigation Paralegal for individuals with a bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Individuals without a degree or certification requires five years' legal support experience in the specific practice area
  • Must have strong skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw or similar application required
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required
  • Foster positive work relationships
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed
  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.   
Education:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Degree and/or a Paralegal certificate preferred
