The Opportunity

This Project Manager role is a critical position sitting within a specific practice group, focusing on national projects and contract negotiations. You will be responsible for developing and carrying out project strategies related to office services, supplies, and physical office transformations (renovations, relocations, or expansions) across U.S. locations. 

The Location

Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)- Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home. 

What You Will Do

  • Project Strategy & Execution: Propose and implement rollout plans for firm-wide operations projects, including new office openings and relocations. 
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Work with external vendors to procure services, develop RFPs, and negotiate the best financial and service outcomes. 
  • Operational Improvement: Analyze current processes to propose and document cost-effective solutions that standardize or streamline functions. 
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as the primary link between Operations and IT for technology requirements, name change rollouts, and e-billing projects. 
  • On-the-Ground Management: Manage physical office moves by procuring movers, providing on-site support, and communicating instructions to affected staff.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Professional: You possess at least 5 years of experience in operations and project management. 
  • Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Technical Savvy: You have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and are comfortable managing intranet pages and vendor technology requirements. 
  • Effective Communicator: You can communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with senior executives, lawyers, and external vendors. 
  • Agile & Independent: You have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects independently. 
The Ideal Candidate is  poised under pressure and maintains a strong verbal presence when interacting with senior leadership. You should be comfortable working "on the ground" while also possessing the high-level analytical skills necessary for complex contract negotiations. Prior experience within a legal or law firm environment is highly preferred to navigate the unique expectations of this practice group.
