Business Development Specialist

About Our Client

Our client is a premier general contractor specializing in the exterior envelope of buildings, including structural concrete restoration, waterproofing, and window/door installation for coastal condominiums. Recently acquired by a private equity firm, the company has expanded into a multi-entity platform. They are currently transitioning from a referral-based model to a formalized, unified growth strategy across all platform companies.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created, high-impact role designed to support relationship-driven growth across the entire platform. As the Business Development Specialist, you will be the face of the organization, moving away from traditional digital marketing to focus on outbound relationship-building and market presence. You will have the unique opportunity to help shape the company’s growth platform and drive cross-selling initiatives across multiple newly acquired entities.

The Location

Based out of the Bradenton, FL office this role covers the entire state of Florida. You will focus on key markets including:
  • Tampa and Clearwater/St. Pete Beach
  • Fort Myers
  • Orlando/Daytona
  • Jacksonville
  • Miami

What You Will Do

  • Industry Engagement: Represent the organization and its affiliated companies at industry events and associations such as ICRI, BOMA, IREM, and ACI.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong ties with property managers, consultants, and condo boards.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify and nurture opportunities to sell the full suite of platform services to existing and new clients.
  • Sales Support: Partner with estimators and leadership to track new opportunities, assist with proposals, and conduct follow-up outreach.
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline reporting within HubSpot to ensure coordination across the platform.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: You have 3-8 years of experience in business development, relationship management, or sales support.
  • Industry Savvy: You ideally come from a background in construction, restoration (specifically concrete, not mold remediation), engineering, or property services.
  • A Natural Networker: You are outgoing, professional, and comfortable representing a brand externally at trade shows and conferences.
  • Organized & Driven: You are a self-starter with strong follow-up skills and the discipline to maintain a CRM.
  • Mobile: You are willing and able to travel frequently throughout Florida to meet with clients and attend events.
The Ideal Candidate is a relationship-focused professional who understands the nuances of the Florida construction and property management market. You are not necessarily "extremely senior" but are looking for a role where you can grow alongside a private-equity-backed organization. You enjoy the "hunt" of building new relationships and the strategy involved in cross-selling diverse services across a unified platform.
