The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-activity, results-driven Business Development Executive to lead market expansion and new member acquisition. This is a pure hunter role (not account management) focused on positioning a world-class GPO ecosystem as the premier solution for indirect cost savings. You will manage the full sales cycle, from building a pipeline from scratch to high-level executive presentations and initial member onboarding.
The Location
Remote opportunity. Must live in AZ, CO, NV or UT. Regional travel required (includes periodic 2–3 day trips via car or air)
What You Will Do
- Drive New Business: Prospect and acquire new member organizations ($500K - $10M+ annual procurement spend) within assigned regional markets.
- Pipeline Ownership: Own end-to-end prospecting, including high-volume cold calling and executing multi-channel digital sequences.
- Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and manage relationships with channel partners, referral sources, and prospective members.
- Financial Consultation: Perform market analyses to demonstrate measurable ROI and savings estimates to C-suite prospects.
- Member Activation: Manage the first 12 months of the client relationship to ensure successful activation before transitioning the account to a dedicated management team.
- Tech-Enabled Sales: Utilize CRM (Salesforce) and prospecting tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, ZoomInfo) to identify and enrich high-value target lists.
Who You Are
- The "Hunter" Mentality: 3+ years of professional B2B "new business" sales experience. You must have a proven track record of building a pipeline from scratch.
- Industry Context: Experienced in GPO sales, supplier organizations selling into similar customer bases, or procurement-related sales.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Tool Proficiency: Comfortable running automated sequences and using advanced prospecting tools (LI Sales Navigator required).
- Territory Expertise: Must currently reside in AZ, CO, NV or UT with deep local market knowledge and existing professional relationships.
- Self-Governing: An entrepreneurial, self-motivated professional capable of working remotely and managing a territory without daily supervision.
