The Opportunity
We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the daily functional infrastructure of a leading independent agency. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring that internal processes are as high-performing as the service provided to clients. You will oversee the administrative and operational workflows that support the sales and service teams, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This position offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the growth of a locally-owned, highly-respected firm by optimizing how they deliver value to their policyholders.
What You Will Do
Process Management: Oversee the lifecycle of policy administration, from initial quoting and carrier comparison to binding and renewal, ensuring zero-defect execution.
Agency Technology: Serve as the primary administrator for the Agency Management System (AMS), leveraging data and automation to reduce manual tasks and improve team productivity.
Team Coordination: Manage and mentor the support staff, ensuring clear communication between the personal and commercial lines departments.
Carrier Relations: Maintain and optimize relationships with over 20 carrier partners, staying updated on new products, portals, and underwriting guidelines.
Compliance & Reporting: Monitor agency performance metrics and ensure all activities comply with Florida insurance regulations and agency standards.

The Ideal Candidate is an experienced insurance professional with 3-5+ years of operations or office management experience within an independent agency setting. You have a deep understanding of Personal and Commercial lines and are proficient in modern Agency Management Systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied, or similar). Familiarity with the Florida insurance market—including property and casualty nuances—is highly preferred. A 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license is considered a significant asset for this role.
