gResponsibilities:
- Developing and implementing service standards and procedures for the service delivery department, including managing key performance indicators, completing work orders, damage recovery and processes, equipment days in non-rent status/fleet unavailable process (FUR), OEC in non-rent status, preventive maintenance (PM) currency, MEWP compliance, technician efficiency, and reduction of equipment downtime.
- Maintaining high standards and quality of the fleet.
- Supervising other members of the service delivery team, including work assignments, payroll entries, establishing priorities, and setting performance standards to ensure equipment availability and customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining customer relationships and improving response and delivery times.
- Managing and maintaining road service vehicles for safety, maximum performance, and controlled expenses.
- Representing the Service Department’s brand and gaining additional Service revenue through support of Outside Sales Representatives / Strategic Account Managers.
- Providing fleet management support by managing expenses for external customers and the Company to ensure maximum profitability.
- Updating service methods to improve overall efficiency.
- Resolving any service problems and customer issues to gain repeat service.
- Creating and presenting regular reports to create efficiencies, make improvements, and report to branch management.
- Instructing customers on equipment operation, care, and maintenance.
- Inspecting rental equipment on return, looking for any damage, and returning deposits.
- Coordinating yard flow in conjunction with the Branch Manager and implementing orderly and organized yard flow, ensuring the shop maintains cleanliness and order.
- Providing leadership, coaching, technical training, and guidance to the Service Team, while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ management experience in a service environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility.
- Excellent time management skills, including prioritization of tasks, communication, and execution to meet established deadlines.
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop direct reports through coaching and reinforcement.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, math, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education:
- High school diploma required; vocational certification or associate's degree is preferred.
