The International Accounting Manager has the opportunity to assist with various firm-wide business initiatives and projects
Responsibilities:
Manage accounting operations for international subsidiaries in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chile, and branch offices in South Korea and Brazil.
Lead monthly financial close processes, journal entry reviews, and account reconciliations, including intercompany and foreign currency transactions.
Develop, review, and deliver monthly financial statements and commentary to senior accounting leadership.
Drive transfer pricing processes and ensure proper documentation and compliance between international entities.
Partner with international offices to support budget planning, revenue forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
Oversee international tax compliance, including VAT, personal property tax, sales and use tax, and local statutory filings.
Provide strategic support for global investment tracking and financial planning.
Review general ledger accuracy and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate, HR, IT, and Marketing, on international projects and financial initiatives.
Analyze foreign exchange impacts and manage exposure to exchange rate fluctuations.
Prepare ad hoc reports and financial models for leadership to support key decisions.
Requirements:
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
Prior international accounting experience is required, with a solid understanding of foreign currencies and cross-border financial transactions.
Fluency in Spanish is required.
Experience with GAAP, IFRS, and tax basis accounting principles.
Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounting operations across multiple jurisdictions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
CPA preferred.
