Title: Mid-Level Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Associate
Location: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a range of executive compensation and employee benefits issues, including:
- Equity plans and agreements
- Executive retention packages
- Retirement and welfare plans
- Compensation and benefits considerations in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Draft and negotiate relevant plan documents, disclosures, and transactional documents.
- Support the Corporate practice in cross-functional teams, providing benefits guidance throughout deal lifecycle.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of federal laws and regulations related to benefits and compensation (e.g., ERISA, IRC).
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and third parties in a responsive, professional manner.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high work quality standards.
Requirements:
- Admitted to practice in Washington DC.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- AmLaw 100 law firm background preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and business judgment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and management capabilities
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
