Title: Chemistry Patent Agent
Location: Hybrid - Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Palo Alto, and Seattle Offices

Responsibilities:
- Draft and prosecute patent applications, primarily in the areas of chemistry and chemical engineering.
- Conduct patent due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses for clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective IP strategies.
- Work closely with inventors and in-house counsel to understand and protect innovations.
- Provide support in IP litigation, licensing, and portfolio management when needed.
- Manage workload efficiently and independently while maintaining high-quality, detail-oriented work.
- Contribute to client relationships through responsiveness, sound judgment, and business-minded communication.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of patent prosecution experience (including drafting, filing, and managing patent applications).
- Prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and writing skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Effective organizational, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in chemistry or chemical engineering required.
- USPTO registration required.
