Title: Mid-Level Employment Associate
Location: Short Hills, NJ or New York, NY

Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation for class action and single-plaintiff cases, including matters related to wage and hour issues, misclassification, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.
- Provide employment law advice and counsel on topics such as restrictive covenants, employee mobility, compensation practices, commission plans, employee policies, and FMLA/ADA leave/accommodation issues.
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, termination/severance agreements, and related documents.
- Conduct employment due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Defend class and collective actions, and provide day-to-day legal counsel to clients across various sectors.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to manage complex cases and ensure legal compliance.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation, advice and counsel, and transactional work.
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey and/or New York.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including wage and hour, discrimination laws, and experience practicing before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
- Experience defending class and collective actions, providing advice to a wide range of clients, and supporting complex corporate transactions.
- Excellent research, analytical, drafting, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and business judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and persuasive communication skills.
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, timely work products and meet deadlines consistently.
- Maintain positive working relationships and comply with all firm policies and practices.
- Engage in sedentary work, including computer use, conference calls, and meetings.
- Ability to manage competing demands under pressure while meeting client expectations.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally ranked law school.
